How to Nominate
Nominations must be received through this site no later than 5:00pm EDT (New York time) on Monday 14 April 2008. To ensure fair treatment of all nominees, we will only accept nominations submitted through this site.
We assume that you have at least one institution and project to nominate. You may browse the existing nominations by clicking on the Nominate! page at left, selecting an institution, and looking at the project(s) for which it is nominated and the supporting nomination text(s). We encourage you to review the FAQs, at left, for advice on how to complete an effective nomination.
The nomination process is as follows:
- Create an account on this site. Your account information is for our records only: it is not revealed to nominees or to the public. Please remember your account information, so that you can add or update nominations as needed.
- Login to the site
- Proceed to the Nominate! page
- If the institution you wish to nominate is not listed, create an entry for it; if it is already listed, proceed to the next step
- Click the name of the institution to display a list of nominated projects
- If the project you wish to nominate is already listed, you do not need to nominate it again; instead, add a comment endorsing the nomination. If the project you wish to nominate is not listed, then create a nomination for it.
If you have questions about who can be nominated or whether you can nominate someone, please see the FAQ list, on the menu at left.
NOTE: We strip all formatting and reformat each nomination before presenting the nominations to the Award Committee. Therefore, we recommend that your nomination be copied and pasted in plain text and simple paragraphs. The form will not accept images or non-text content, but will accept URLs to such secondary resources; however, please note that the Committee are not obliged to review any such secondary materials.
